With more than 30 years in the industry, I’ve transformed everything from tiny shopfronts to full visitor information centres into experiences that make people smile, pause, or simply feel at home.

I first trained in Sydney in the mid-90s, studying Window & Retail Presentation at TAFE NSW, and dove straight into the world of visual merchandising. I worked with specialty retail chains, became a Visual Merchandising Manager, and eventually launched my own VM agency — which meant plenty of travelling, shop-front reshaping, and running Retail Revamp workshops for small businesses in regional towns. I even spent time as a TAFE Ambassador, cheering on and mentoring the next generation of creative merchandisers.

By 2016, regional NSW had well and truly captured my heart, so I packed up city life and moved to the tiny towns I now adore. My design projects grew bigger and bolder, especially my favourite niche: designing and refurbishing Visitor Information Centres. Along the way, Kymbo (hubby) and I opened Folkologie Rylstone, and later Folkologie Boggabri — our little celebration of style, community, and beautiful things.

After beating breast cancer in 2023, I’m now happily based in Boggabri NSW, co-running FOLKOLOGIE with Kymbo and continuing to design for commercial clients across the region. My work is fueled by creativity, curiosity, and a love of spaces with heart — because life’s too short for boring interiors.
